Neighborhood Liquid Honey - Real, raw, hyper-local
Harvested from neighborhoods all within 20 miles of downtown Austin and hand jarred by a team of Two Hives beekeepers, all Two Hives neighborhood raw honey jars will differ slightly in color, flavor, and texture. The flavor and color of honey is determined by the nectars collected from different flowers by the honey bees. Each batch reflects the local florals blooming at the time of the harvest.
Note on crystallization: This is raw honey, never heated or filtered. Only limited straining has been used to remove the beeswax from the comb. It does crystallize fairly quickly. Containing all the flavor and health benefits of raw honey, crystallized honey has simply changed the texture. If you’d like your honey to return to liquid, place the jar in a warm, never boiling, pot of water.
Two Hives Honey started as two neighborhood hives back in 2015 by West Texan (and multi-hyphenated ex-CIA agent) Tara Chapman as passion project. Today Two Hives Honey occupies a few acres property near Manor, offers some of the finest honey Austin bees can make and enables community education and cross-pollination.
